The US Women's Rugby Foundation, a not for profit charitable organization dedicated to promoting girls and women in the sport of rugby, announces new Grant Program, targeting youth rugby. To support the growth of future female rugby players, the Foundation is offering a Girls' Rugby Grant to help sponsor girls across the country as they endeavor to enjoy playing rugby.
As the Foundation recognizes the fact that participating in rugby may be cost prohibitive for many, it is seeking to help financially subsidize girls' rugby. Grant awards will provide monetary assistance to individual players or to youth teams on a need-basis to aid in their continued participation in the sport and to make involvement accessible to a broader group of girls. The Foundation is accepting applications starting August 15, 2009. If interested in applying for grant monies go to
www.uswrf.org/Grants.aspx for details.
Individuals interested in helping fund this program are encouraged to make donations with a note earmarking them for the Girls' Rugby Fund at
http://www.uswrf.org/Donations.aspx.
Donations of stocks are also accepted.

In an ideal world, money is not a hindrance in playing the sport you love. But unfortunately, we are living in a real world where many individuals are facing financial problems and the things they love to do are being compromised. The Grant Program is definitely great news for those individuals who cannot play rugby because of financial difficulties. With the help of this program, they will now have the support they need to continue playing.
Here in Glendale, a local women's rugby league's club is also involve in promoting this sport to girls of any age. In fact, a number of rugby games for women, catering to all ages are now being held. They're hoping that it will develop a lot more interest from the youth and the audience as well.
Thanks for sharing this inspiring post.
